This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Important: most WD PCBs store unique information in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform that task.
