This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board shipped may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before buying, confirm a replacement PCB will address your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide and double-check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD circuit boards contain unique data stored in a ROM ('memory') chip that is required for proper drive operation; either the ROM chip itself or its data must be moved to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
