This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and hard drive repair tasks, this replacement PCB can restore functionality when used correctly. Prior to purchase, confirm that a PCB swap will address your issue by following our hard drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive circuit boards store critical, unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
