This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we stock large quantities, the exact board you receive might differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery scenarios. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM “memory” chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
