This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and follow the Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to determine whether a PCB swap will resolve your issue. Most hard drive circuit boards include unique data stored in the ROM (memory) chip; that ROM information must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
