This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We keep a large inventory of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This replacement PCB is intended for data recovery and general hard drive repair use. Important: many hard drive PCBs contain critical, unique information stored in a ROM (memory) chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly, so the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
