This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included! Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and hard drive repair, this PCB is intended as a replacement part for compatible drives. To confirm whether replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
