This sale includes the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no HDD is supplied. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The part is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the job. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
