This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery projects. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement circuit board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
