This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact printed circuit board you receive may look slightly different from the photo. Intended uses: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many HDD circuit boards store unique parameters in a ROM ("memory") chip that are required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
