This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board only (PCB / logic board). No hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or repair of compatible hard drives. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB is appropriate by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you are able to move the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customer orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
