This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the board you receive may vary slightly from the picture. This PCB is meant for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM memory chip; that information must be moved or reprogrammed onto the replacement board for proper operation. When possible the ROM chip can be physically transferred to the new PCB — a local computer technician can typically perform this. For purchases of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
