This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Item fits WD740GD-00FLA1, part number 2061-001213-100 AM, SATA 3.5" drives. Because we keep a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Most hard drive PCBs store unique data in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board—either by physically moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or by reprogramming the board with the correct ROM contents. If you can’t perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually handle the chip transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or program the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
