This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to high inventory levels, the exact circuit board shipped may differ slightly from the photograph. These PCBs are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and ensure part compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD circuit boards contain a unique ROM memory chip that holds essential data required for proper operation. That ROM, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If physical transfer of the chip is possible, a qualified local technician can typically perform the swap. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programs the replacement with the correct ROM information.
