This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for use in drive repair and data recovery, a replacement PCB will only work if it is compatible with your drive; please consult our Donor Matching Guide and follow the Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to confirm a PCB swap is appropriate. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for correct operation. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board; if transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
