This sale includes only the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board); no hard drive is provided. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery applications. To confirm that a replacement PCB will restore your drive, please consult our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip — this information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform this, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip or handle the reprogramming. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or programs the new board with the correct ROM data.
