This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock many similar boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique drive-specific data in a ROM ('memory') chip; that information is required for the drive to function. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If relocation of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
