This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB, logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the one pictured. These circuit boards are intended for data recovery and hard drive repair work. To confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement PCB. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to handle the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
