This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large stock of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended purpose: HDD repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB replacement will fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique calibration and firmware data stored in a ROM 'memory' chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If transferring the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new board or reprogram the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
