This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. We stock large quantities, so the exact circuit board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured item. The board is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Prior to purchase, check our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that a replacement PCB is likely to resolve your problem, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most of these PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
