This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We keep a large inventory of similar PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Most WD PCBs store unique drive-specific information in a ROM chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function properly. You must transfer the ROM chip or its contents to the replacement board. If the ROM package can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
