This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. Intended uses: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirming compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is essential for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can typically move the chip for you. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
