Important: this sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: replacement PCB for hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap is the appropriate fix by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Western Digital PCBs include a unique ROM “memory” chip that contains essential parameters required for proper drive operation. That ROM, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
