This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB, logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
