This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is not part of the listing. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM (or its data) must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If you cannot move the ROM yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
