This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. We maintain a large stock of PCBs, so the exact circuit board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for use in data recovery or as a repair replacement. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by following our Donor Matching Guide and running the steps in our hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Most PCBs contain a ROM memory chip that stores unique drive-specific data required for proper operation; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transplanting the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers moving the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
