This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for HDD repair and data recovery tasks, this PCB is intended as a replacement part for compatible drives. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM chip that is required for correct drive operation. That ROM or its contents must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either physically transferring the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
