This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for use in data recovery and HDD repairs, this replacement board is intended to restore electronic functionality when compatible. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide and use our hard drive diagnostics guide to verify that a PCB swap is the appropriate repair. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board; if physically moving the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
