This sale is for the hard drive PCB/logic board only (WD5003ABYX-18WERA0, 2061-771702-C01 AB). No hard disk drive is included. We stock large quantities of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may look slightly different from the photograph. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; this information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
