This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement circuit board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers who spend $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either physically moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
