This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain drive-specific data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If possible to move the chip to the new board, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
