This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no physical hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of boards, the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will solve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs contain unique settings stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for correct operation and must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
