Item is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / Logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data recovery purposes. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive circuit boards contain a unique ROM "memory" chip that holds essential data required for correct drive operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If transplanting the ROM chip is possible, a local computer professional can usually perform the surgery. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
