This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — No hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the specific PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD hard drive PCBs contain unique ROM data required for proper operation; the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
