This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — NO hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. Designed for hard drive repair and data-recovery work, this PCB is intended as a replacement part only. Before purchasing, verify that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct drive operation; the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you are not comfortable performing the transfer, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
