This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper drive operation. That ROM, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If physical transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
