This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Note: many PCBs store unique drive-specific data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board, or the new board must be reprogrammed. If you cannot perform this yourself, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or programming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
