This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB replacement will address your problem and consult the Donor Matching Guide to ensure compatibility. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique drive-specific data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board—if feasible a local computer technician can perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
