This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We maintain a large inventory of compatible boards, so the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in HDD repair and data recovery procedures. Before ordering, confirm that swapping the PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and ensure compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement circuit board. If you cannot move the ROM chip yourself, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer or reprogramming. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
