This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no drive included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm whether a replacement board will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform that service. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
