This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of these boards, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Note: most hard drive PCBs hold unique parameters in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate properly and must be moved to or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can typically perform that task. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
