This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair work. Before purchasing, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique data in a ROM “memory” chip that is required for proper drive operation. That ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board (or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data). If the ROM can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM information.
