This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. Designed for use in data recovery and hard drive repair tasks. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in the ROM memory chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be migrated to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically transplanted, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
