This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB/logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We stock large quantities, so the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photographed unit. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs contain unique ROM (memory) data that is essential for the drive to operate correctly; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
