This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for HDD repair and data recovery tasks, this board is intended as a replacement part for diagnostic and restoration work. Before ordering, confirm that swapping the PCB will address your issue by consulting our hard drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store essential, unique data in the ROM (memory) chip; that information must be present on the replacement board for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip itself or its data therefore needs to be transferred to the new PCB — if the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers who spend $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement board or reprogramming the new PCB with the correct ROM data.
