This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement board will address your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can typically transplant the chip. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
