This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. We maintain a large inventory of PCBs, so the item you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB replacement will resolve your problem by consulting our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and ensure compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many HDD PCBs store unique data in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
