This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to our large PCB inventory, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most of these circuit boards contain unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is mandatory for proper hard drive operation. The ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred onto the replacement circuit board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer professional should be able to perform the transfer. For our clients, with a purchase of $60 or more, we offer complimentary adaptation service, which includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new circuit board with the correct ROM data.
