This listing includes ONLY the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board). No hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the item you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery, this PCB is intended as a replacement part — however, a swap alone does not always restore full functionality. Many WD PCBs store critical configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM content must be present on the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the original ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
