This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and hard drive repair, this PCB is intended as a replacement part. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
